The name of this distillery is taken from a worn-out sign on Route 51 that announces the passerby are at th 45th parallel just north of Wassau, WI. It was founded by Paul Werni who left a successful construction business to found a distillery, which he admits is largely the result of informal self-training.
45th Parallel is proud that it uses traditional methods of distilling and uses smell and taste to determine filtration of each batch of vodka. The grain is obtained from local Wisconsin farmer Arlen Strate of Rusmar Farms. They use no artificial coloring or flavor
